Arcana Note Journal

This journal is wonderfully crafted and I could not be more happy with the quality. The included accessories are plentiful and the A5 standard size makes expanding upon this collection very easy to do. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a refillable leather journal, whether it be for your adventures in a fantasy realm or our very own home-realm!

The leather is sooo luscious.

This just arrived today, and I spent a good 20 minutes marvelling over the notepad and all the included accessories.
Before buying this, I had considered just getting some cheap generic notebook but now I'm really glad I didn't because this is just the complete package and I love it!
I think I could feasibly carry only this to each session as I think I should be able to put a set of mini-dice into that pencil case looking thing along with my stationary. Not that I'd ever go deliberately without my hoard of dice, but it's nice to know I can have a backup should I forget them.

I also LOVE that they also include their PDF pack for printing my own refills. So many other places just sell refills for what is frankly an exorbitant amount of money for some printed sheets, so being able to print my own (with all the different styles of each included!) is not only going to be faster and practically priceless, but also much better for the environment. I cannot put into words how great an idea this is. Even if you don't buy this notebook just buy those PDFs for whatever fillable notebook you end up choosing, it's absolutely worth it.

Arcana Note Journal

The Arcane Note journals that we purchased are even nicer than we hoped. The quality is excellent and it just feels classy. The PDF files were sent right away and after a quick Amazon purchase of blank, punched paper, we are ready to use these journals for years to come. Thanks!

I have been looking for a great D&D journal/character sheet combo for quite some time as we prefer using pen and paper to play. We have been using normal old folders with our character sheets but...its kind of cumbersome and takes up alot of space and is quite immersion breaking. Then one day I came across this Arcana Note Journal when looking for nice metal inspiration tokens so I ordered one...and wow I gotta say this journal is exceptionally well made, perfectly modular, and just has this authentic real feeling to it that not only feels like it belongs in the D&D world, but it SMELLS AMAZING.

The leather cover is just so dang nice to hold, no need to break it in, its already nice and soft, but still very durable. It has an elastic strap with another leather section to keep it closed and it works quite well, I will have to see how it holds up after repeated use. The cover also has some really nice stitching along the edge that is really uniform across the entire book (mega bonus points for attention to detail), and has two interior sections that fit the dry erase cards quite nicely. There are two metal screws and rivets that hold in the center metal 6 ring binder, which is a really nice antiqued metal that fits with the leather really well. The only branding on this is the Wizard logo on the front, its well positioned and stamped/burned into the leather perfectly, again really well made and as someone who greatly dislikes egregious branding this subtle logo is perfectly fine.

I picked up the default art style version, and I think they call this Arcane style in the PDF's they sell, but regardless its also really well made. The pages are super easy to read, and provide spots for so many different things to track it's got alot of potential to make note taking really quick and easy. One of my players has bad vision and has been looking for a nice bold character sheet and this is going to work quite well despite its smaller size as information is spread across a couple of pages and nothing is cramped. The inclusion of some rules pages, items, gear, ranges, and basic monster stats is super cool and very helpful, I am happy that is included. The dividers help make navigating your personal journal quick and easy, and the fact that you can put the pages in any order is just perfect. I like that it came with dotted graph paper, but also would have been happy with clean blank pages (maybe this can be an option?) The interior card pages are going to be super rad as well, I picked up their blank item and spell cards to hand out to my players so I am excited to see how they adapt their journals to track the items they have a bit easier.

It also includes a zip pouch page, and a ruler marked with 5ft movement increments which I like since we do frequently play on 3d terrain maps without a grid. The zip pouch I am not sure how much use I will get from, it will hold the inspiration tokens and cards quite well, and its large enough to also hold a pencil or a pen, but with a pencil I would be concerned about breaking the lead and messing up the inside of the pouch but we shall see how that works out.

All in all I was so impressed with the Journal I got that I decided to pick up 5 more of them for my players, we are just starting a new campaign and I cannot think of any better way to kick it off than by gifting them the most badass player journal they have ever seen. I also received some extra goodies in my order, some dice for my players, and inspiration tokens! I was not expecting that at all, so thank you Arcane Goods, yall are awesome, and I am excited to see what you make next!

TLDR: Get this journal as this is legit the best one out there and smells really nice.

This is the perfect journal for all your 5E adventures! Has everything you need for a session. My whole group ended up purchases a journal when they saw mine. They are absolutely beautiful, well made, and the refills are a great features!

This journal greatly impressed me. It is affordable, light to carry, and very cool to show off with the leather cover, and also includes so much content for both DM and player to use at the table during a session. Being able to reload it for new or additional campaigns is great! I would love to see fillers for other RPGs as well, or maybe even something generic that can be used. Highly recommend this for any 5e fan.
